100,000 PAGE VIEWS !!!!!
Posted by redracer on May 6, 2009
At the beginning of this month, this Blog achieved a BIG milestone – the 100,000 page view count !!!
I originally started counting each time a block of 10,000 was reached, but stopped doing that when I got to 50,000. believe it or not, that was only just on a year ago 🙂
This blog started at the beginning of 2007, and with a few hundred visitors in the first few months, took until March to reach 1,000 views. After that it took off, and has never reached under 2,100 per month since then, and since December 2007 has been over 3,500 every month – recent stats show an average of around 150 views per day. Not bad since I have not been posting very much recently. It took from January until June 2007 to reach the 10,000 mark (6 months), in September reached 20,000, in January 2008 got to 30,000, February 40,000, April 50,000, July 60,000, September 70,000, December 80,000 and February 2009 90,000.
Highest month so far is still January 2008 with 6,330. So far I have posted 123 items, and the stats for the best ever day’s readership is 392 page views (July 7, 2008). “More new releases for Xmas 2007” is still way ahead with 10,582 reads as the most popular post (there must be a lot of hitomi fans out there), but the controversial “Top 100 Japanese Pop Artists – The List ” is closing the gap at second place with 8,348 views.
The most popular search engine terms that have allowed internet views to find this page are “Sowelu” (3,452), “Namie Amuro” (2,331), “Hitomi Shimatani” (1,448), “Mika Nakashima” (1,251) & “Kumi Koda” (1,051), as well as various combinations of these names and others (particularly Ayumi Hamasaki) together with “nude” or “naked” !!! – can’t people just let J-Pop singers sing, without having to take off their clothes as well ???
Unfortunately, along with that has come over 30,324 spam comments, but WordPress & Akismet have done a great job in not letting 99.99% of them get though.
Along with the 123 posts have been 187 comments, but I would like to get more feedback from you the reader, so please don’t hesitate to write back about anything you like that relates to a particular post …
